Japan Datacenter Census 2015-2019 Forecast and 2014 Review

Japan Datacenter Census 2015-2019 Forecast and 2014 Review

This IDC study provides forecasts of the number of datacenter sites built within Japan and of their total floor space, broken down by datacenter size, by region, and by the year in which construction of the building was completed.

Because of the increased construction costs for datacenters, the costs of decommissioning aging DCs and building new ones have gone up. "DC facility vendors should focus on power-source-enhancement solutions and on consulting for consolidating and optimizing aging DCs," notes Mimei Ito, an IDC Japan research manager whose area of focus is IT services.
