IDC MaturityScape Benchmark: Digital Transformation in Western Europe, 2017
This IDC study is designed for IT vendors, business leaders, IT executives, and their teams who are responsible for the creation and delivery of business capabilities. This study presents the European results of IDC's 2017 Digital Transformation MaturityScape Benchmark Survey and provides comparisons between 2015 and 2017. It should be viewed as a supplement to IDC MaturityScape: Digital Transformation 1.0 (IDC #254721, March 2015). Together, these research documents provide a comprehensive overview of IDC's digital transformation maturity model. This document answers the following questions:Where are European organizations on a maturity scale across the five digital transformation dimensions, and how have they evolved since 2015? What's the path to improve and achieve the level of maturity that the business needs?"Many organizations are introducing new business initiatives as part of their digital transformation strategies. IDC research shows that although many organizations across Europe have moved their efforts beyond the exploration stage, and laggards refuse continue to postpone their investment. As a result, there is a significant gap between digital thrivers and digital survivors. By the time these organizations acknowledge the importance of digital transformation, it may already be too late," said Jan van Vonno, research manager and lead analyst, IDC's European Digital Transformation Practice.
