Welding Equipment Distributors in the US
Welding equipment distributors are highly susceptible to changes in the volume of new and existing construction, along with changes in the industrial production index. As a result, at the pandemic's height in 2020, revenue plummeted alongside construction declines and overall economic instability. However, while economic conditions continued to waver in the following years, construction activity resumed, along with investment in industrial equipment and machinery. Consequently, distributors experience a strong rebound, though not quite enough to fully recoup the losses incurred. Over the five years to 2023, revenue is expected to decline at a CAGR of 0.9% to $4.4 billion, with revenue rising just 0.1% in 2023 alone.
This industry distributes welding supplies, including rods, power units, torches and safety equipment. Gas and gas-only dealers are excluded, but some gas-oriented companies also deal welding equipment. Welding equipment is used in a variety of construction and industrial activities.
