Secondary Education in Ireland - Industry Market Research Report
Description
Secondary Education in Ireland
The Secondary Education industry is highly reliant on government funding, which is largely based on the number of pupils in education. A rising number of pupils in secondary schools has supported revenue growth. Secondary school revenue grew at a compound annual rate of 3.2% over the five years through 2023 to €3.9 billion. Higher enrolment in independent schools, combined with higher fees has meant profit has also risen.
The industry covers education at the secondary level. Secondary education consists of a three-year junior cycle, generally started at the age of 12, followed by a two- or three-year Senior Cycle, depending on whether an optional Transition Year is taken following the Junior Certificate examination. The majority of secondary schools are state-funded, but the industry also includes privately funded independent schools. Technical and vocational schools are not included within this industry.
This report covers the scope, size, disposition and growth of the industry including the key sensitivities and success factors. Also included are five year industry forecasts, growth rates and an analysis of the industry key players and their market shares.
