This report forecasts to 2023 and 2027 US demand for disposable diapers in nominal US dollars at the retail level and volume. Total demand in value and volume terms is segmented by product in terms of: pediatric diapers, training underpants, and adult incontinence products.
To illustrate historical trends, total demand in value terms and volume, and the various segments are provided in annual series from 2012 to 2022.
Bed and furniture protection pads, cleaners, creams, wipes, and incontinence-related paraphernalia such as bedpans are excluded from the scope of this report. Sales to the institutional market, such as nursing homes, are excluded.
This report includes the results of a proprietary national online consumer survey of US adults (age 18+). This Freedonia Focus Reports National Online Consumer Survey has a sample size of approximately 2,000, screened for response quality, and representative of the US population on the demographic measures of age, gender, geographic region, race/ethnicity, household income, and the presence/absence of children in the household.
