Description

Our outlook in this forecast round remains broadly intact from the August update, barring a few tweaks to sectoral growth rates following the rebasing of GDP in July. Leading indicators point to solid momentum in H2 2025, with private sector activity trending in expansionary territory in August, while oil production remained buoyant in July. We still expect real GDP growth to slow in 2026. Risks to Nigeria's economic growth outlook have become more balanced, but are still slightly skewed to the downside. Upside risks to the medium-term outlook include a stronger manufacturing performance and higher oil production.
