Analysis by Region - Emerging Markets - Nigeria
Description
Officials at the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) overhauled vital macroeconomic statistics this year. The CPI was rebased to 2024 at the start of the year, while GDP figures were rebased to 2019 in July. This forecast round includes Nigeria's rebased GDP estimates, which paint a slightly different picture of the oil-pumping nation. Although we have lifted our real GDP growth forecast over the medium term, we still expect annual growth to slow.
