Description

The Namibian economy has performed below expectations amid downturns in diamond mining, manufacturing, and agriculture in H1 2025, but resilient growth in services and uranium has kept the economy afloat. A continued ramp-up in uranium output, improved rainfall, low inflation, and monetary easing would support a moderate growth recovery next year. We have lowered our 2025 real GDP growth forecast to 2.2% from 2.9% but project a recovery to 3.1% in 2026.
