Analysis by Region - Emerging Markets - Mozambique
Description
Mozambique's economy has yet to make a comeback in 2025 after violent unrest in Q4 2024 bludgeoned commercial activities nationwide. With real GDP contracting on an annual basis in H1 2025, the recovery from the sharp downturn in Q4 2024, which was protest-hit, has been slow to materialise. As such, we now forecast underwhelming economic growth of 1.8% (previously 2.0%) this year before bouncing back to 3.8% in 2026.
