Description

We've slashed our 2025 GDP growth forecast for Singapore by 1.2ppts to 1.6%. This is partly due to US trade policy-induced disruptions to the global economy, but mainly reflects weaker than expected activity in Q1. Although momentum should rebound in Q2, it will remain subdued. This leaves the possibility of a further loosening by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
