Macro - Country Economic Forecasts - Sweden
Description
We've kept our GDP growth forecasts for Sweden largely unchanged at 1.3% for 2025 and 2.3% for 2026. We think the long-awaited economic turnaround is underway, with growth expected to pick up in the coming quarters. Fiscal policy provides a tailwind for growth and there will be more support for households in the 2026 election year. After inflation surged this summer, we think the Riksbank will stay on hold in September and cut the policy rate by 25bps in November.
