Macro - Country Economic Forecasts - Australia
Description
We've raised our 2025 GDP growth forecast for Australia by 0.1ppt to 1.7% and lowered our projection for 2026 to a 2.1% expansion. GDP growth in Q2 was marginally above our expectations. Activity was fuelled by transitory boosts to household and public consumption, which will fade in the coming months. The outlook for business investment remains challenging, and we think Q2 was likely the high point for quarterly growth in 2025.
