Not So Much Innovation, More Gradual Change at MWC 2015

This IDC Insight looks at the world's biggest mobile trade show, Mobile World Congress (MWC), which took place in Barcelona on March 2–5, 2015. As has become customary, the show's attendance broke previous records: on the final day the GSM Association (GSMA) announced that 93,000 people had attended Mobile World Congress 2015, compared to 85,000 the previous year. In this Insight, we summarize our impressions and thoughts about this year's MWC from the standpoint of mass market services in Europe. Separate documents focus on mobility in the enterprise and on devices, although we also summarize themes around devices here.
