Looking at the overall market for WAN services, excluding legacy leased lines, sales in 2023 were projected to be positive compared with the previous year. Looking at the sales figures by operator, the top 3 were NTT Communications, KDDI, and SoftBank, with each company maintaining the same market share as the previous year. Looking at WAN service type, L2 bandwidth guaranteed and L3 bandwidth guaranteed still account for the majority of the total sales, but the number of lines and sales in both segments remained flat from the previous year, indicating market maturity. Meanwhile, managed internet VPNs and Ethernet leased lines outperformed other segments in terms of YoY revenue growth, just as they did in 2022."Demand for closed network services remains strong, but the environment surrounding WAN services is changing rapidly, with companies showing increasing interest in the secure access service edge (SASE) architecture and the expansion of areas where 10Gbps lines are provided for corporate internet connection services. The primary function of a report license is to define how many people within a company are authorized to use the purchased report. This is separate to how a report might be delivered.   • This license is for companies that have one location where they want the report to be accessible by all employees within that physical location.

  • This is the most flexible of the licensing options. Some publishers will allow you to get a license for a preset number of people (typically 5). These licenses are ideal for small work groups.
