Also, the average construction contract activity, as a percentage of the corresponding period of the previous year, grew by 12.3% YoY in real terms in January-May 2025.
The industry’s growth in 2025 will also be supported by the Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko’s Decree, which was signed previously in October 2024; as per the decree, the country’s GDP is forecasted to increase by 4.1% in 2025, supported by three programs - production, export and investment. According to the government’s estimates, the real disposable household income is projected to expand by 4%, exports of goods and services by 5.4% and investment in the economy by 7.8%, in 2025. The government aims to continue its policy to curb inflation, with the National Bank and the government setting a target to keep inflation under 5% in 2025.
