Ferulic Acid Market
Ferulic acid is a natural chemical which is found in the cell wall of plants and it belongs to the family of hydroxycinnamic acid. Ferulic acid is an active compound (ubiquitous natural phenolic phytochemical) which has very strong anti-oxidant properties. Its chemical name is 4-Hydroxy-3-methoxycinnamic acid and its chemical formula is C10H10O4. Ferulic acid has been used as a food additive to prevent lipid peroxidation as it is an efficacious scavenger of free radicals. Ferulic acid is taken out from rice bran oil in large quantities. As ferulic acid is a good anti-oxidant it helps in slowing the process of ageing by reducing the free radicals present on the skin. Ferulic acid also protects us against the sun damage and helps in regenerating the skin which has already been over exposed. In addition to this it enhances the stability and efficiency of vitamin C and vitamin E.
