Description

After experiencing growth in 2024, the video conferencing devices market slowed in H1 2025. Unit shipments for the total market declined by 0.4 percent in H1 2025, over the same period prior year, even though revenue grew at 8.2 percent, driven by higher prices resulting from tariff impacts. The slowdown in H1 2025 was concentrated in the USB camera segment, while collaboration bars and boards continue to gain traction, fueling strong growth in the endpoint segment, as customers increasingly favor cloud-connected devices for enhanced user experience and centralized management.

Full-year 2025 revenue is projected to reach $3.88 billion, representing a YoY growth of 9.5% in revenue, signaling market momentum despite earlier headwinds. Looking ahead, the market is forecast to more than double to $8.47 billion by 2030, supported by a five-year revenue CAGR of 16.9% and unit CAGR of 15.6%, as organizations upgrade meeting rooms with modern audio, video, and content collaboration technologies to meet the demands of modern work. AI has emerged as the primary growth driver, removing friction points that previously hindered adoption and enabling advanced capabilities such as intelligent framing, dynamic camera switching, and enhanced audio that captures voices clearly while minimizing distractions. Prices have increased for five consecutive years due to inflationary pressures and higher attach rates for room components like controllers, schedulers, multi-camera solutions, and AV peripherals.

Front-of-room video experiences remain dominant, though multi-camera rooms are expected to double within five years. Growth is further fueled by office modernization and new collaboration space build-outs, prompting vendors to expand portfolios and enter adjacent markets. As digital transformation accelerates, video conferencing penetration in meeting rooms is projected to nearly double from 2022 to 2030, driving demand for an ecosystem of complementary products and services

Customer organizations and market participants, including technology vendors, service providers, channel partners, resellers, and IT/telecom decision-makers, among others, will find value in leveraging the findings of this study to develop sustainable growth strategies that tap into the growing wave of video adoption across organizations of all sizes.
