Residential Roofing: United States
Description
Residential Roofing: United States
This report forecasts to 2025 US residential roofing demand in area terms (squares). A square is a unit of measure used in the construction industry; one square equals 100 square feet. Total demand is segmented by product in terms of: asphalt shingles; metal roofing; bituminous; roofing tile; wood shingles and shakes; and other products such as concrete panels, slate, and solar roofing. Total demand is also segmented by market as follows: new and reroofing.
To illustrate historical trends, total demand is provided in annual series from 2010 to 2020; the various segments are reported at five-year intervals for 2010, 2015, and 2020.
Excluded from the scope of this report are such related products as: coatings used as repair and restorative compounds and not used as primary roofing; flashings; mopping asphalts, granules, and ballast used in bituminous roof installations; roofing underlays; roof-mount solar panels; prefabricated roof trusses and other structural supports; and roof decking materials (e.g., plywood and other engineered wood materials, concrete, metal)
Excluded from the definition of residential buildings are housing units located in a structure whose primary purpose is something other than habitation. Thus, a small living space contained in a larger retail facility would be classified as part of a retail building and not a residential building.
Key macroeconomic indicators are also provided with quantified trends. Other various topics, including profiles of pertinent leading companies, are covered in this report. A full outline of report items by page is available in the Table of Contents.
