Pet Insurance: United States
Description
This report forecasts to 2029 US pet insurance sales in nominal US dollars. To illustrate historical trends, US pet insurance sales are provided for 2020-2024.
Medical and non-medical services provided through the veterinary sector are outside the scope of this report, though are discussed in context. Also outside this report are non-medical services for pets/animals other than dogs or cats; for example, horse grooming is excluded. The term “pets” in this report, therefore, generally refers to dogs and cats only.
Freedonia quantifies trends in various measures of growth and volatility. Growth calculated as a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) employs, by definition, only the first and last datapoints over a period. The CAGR is used to describe forecast growth, defined as the expected trend beginning in the base year and ending in the forecast year. Readers are encouraged to consider historical volatility when assessing particular annual values along the forecast trend, including in the forecast year.
