Mining Equipment: United States

This report forecasts to 2029 US mining equipment demand and production in nominal US dollars at the manufacturer level. Total demand is segmented by product in terms of: surface mining machinery; underground mining machinery; crushing, pulverizing, and screening equipment; drills and breakers; mineral processing and other products such as feeders and dryers; and parts and attachments. Total demand is also segmented by market as follows: minerals mining, metals mining, and coal mining.

To illustrate historical trends, total demand is provided in annual series from 2019 to 2024; production and the various segments are reported at five-year intervals for 2019 and 2024.

Excluded from the scope of this report are certain products that can be used at mining sites and are sometimes considered to be mining machinery, including general purpose material handling and oilfield equipment, and dry stacking equipment. Also excluded is used and rebuilt mining machinery of all types.
