Nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium (NPK) compound fertilizer is a compound fertilizer composed of three main nutrients: nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K). Indonesia is an important agricultural country in Southeast Asia, and the demand for nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium (NPK)compound fertilizer in Indonesia is increasing rapidly. Indonesia has a total cultivated land area of about 80 million hectares, and palm oil, rubber, coffee and cocoa are its main cash crops. The top three sources of NPK compound fertilizers imported by Indonesia were Singapore, Switzerland and Malaysia from 2021 to 2024. The main importers of NPK compound fertilizers in Indonesia were trading companies in Indonesia from 2021 to 2024. The main exporters of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizers in Indonesia were overseas fertilizer manufacturers or trading companies between 2021 and 2024.

CRI predicts that the demand for NPK compound fertilizers in Indonesia will continue to grow in the next few years. However, due to the limited local fertilizer production capacity in Indonesia, it is expected that the import volume of NPK compound fertilizers in Indonesia will continue to rise in the next few years. CRI recommends that global fertilizer manufacturers should conduct research on the Indonesian fertilizer market as soon as possible to discover market opportunities.
