Indonesia is also an important clove exporter in the world. According to CRI data, due to strong international market demand in 2024, Indonesia's clove exports increased to 51,200 tons, with an export value of more than US$319 million, a year-on-year increase of more than 200%.
According to CRI analysis, the export market for Indonesian cloves is mainly concentrated in Asia. From 2021 to 2024, the main export destinations for Indonesian cloves are India, China, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Vietnam and other countries. India, the United Arab Emirates and Singapore are the top three export destinations for Indonesian cloves.
According to CRI analysis, the companies that import cloves from Indonesia were mainly some trading companies from 2021 to 2024. The main exporters of Indonesian cloves were mainly Indonesian trading companies and local clove planting companies from 2021 to 2024.
Overall, Indonesia has become an important supplier of cloves in the global market with its unique natural conditions and mature clove planting and processing technology. CRI predicts that in the next few years, with the growth of global clove market demand and technological advancement, the export market for Indonesian cloves is expected to expand further.
