Telemedicine is a vital area of growth, with over 1,000 healthcare facilities adopting telemedicine and IoT-based health monitoring solutions by 2023. Hanoi Medical University Hospital has been a leader in this field, conducting thousands of teleconsultations since 2020, as noted by VNA in June 2025. This trend paves the way for IoT-enabled remote patient monitoring.

Furthermore, initiatives to create smart hospitals are gaining momentum, with healthcare facilities partnering with technology companies to transform into smart healthcare environments, showcasing Vietnam's commitment to advancing into the smart healthcare era. The Ministry of Health is also promoting the use of AI and accelerating the digital transformation of public healthcare. These strategic initiatives, along with increasing private sector investments, position Vietnam for substantial growth in the IoT medical devices market.
