More than 29% of current education/library science students were highly interested in early childhood education and students of social science or performing arts also showed considerable interest. Interest was strongly related to gender and 10.63% of females were either interested or highly interested vs. only 3.57% of males and 3.21% of transgender students.This study presents data from a survey of 1,765 full time college students at 4 year colleges in the USA about the level of interest in pursuing teacher certification, teaching in early childhood education programs, or teaching in grammar schools.  The data in the report helps its reader to pinpoint student interest in these areas, with specific data sets for interest in teacher certification, early childhood education and grammar schools.
