Description

Thermal Conductor Paste, also known as thermal conductive silicone grease, heat dissipation paste or thermal interface material (TIM), is a highly thermally conductive insulating silicone material widely used in heat dissipation management of electronic devices. It is usually composed of a high molecular polymer matrix (such as silicone oil, silicone rubber) and a thermally conductive filler (such as metal oxides, ceramic powders or carbon-based materials), and has excellent thermal conductivity and electrical insulation. The main characteristics of thermal conductive paste include high thermal conductivity, the thermal conductivity coefficient is usually 1~10 W/mK, and it can quickly conduct heat; it is resistant to high and low temperatures and can work stably in the temperature range of -50℃ to 200℃; it has good electrical insulation and will not cause short circuits, which is suitable for sensitive electronic devices; it has low oil separation, almost no oil separation, and is resistant to water, ozone and weather aging; it has good filling properties and can fully wet the contact surface, fill tiny gaps, and form a low thermal resistance interface.

Thermal conductive paste is widely used in electronic devices such as CPUs, GPUs, power resistors, etc. to fill the gaps between chips and radiators to improve heat dissipation efficiency. It is also used in the home appliance industry, such as the cooling system of televisions, computers, printers and other equipment; in the LED industry, it is used for the heat dissipation of LED lamps and integrated lamps to extend their service life; in automotive electronics, it is used for the heat dissipation of electronic components such as automotive sensors and controllers; and in communication equipment, such as data center servers and communication base stations. When choosing thermal paste, you should decide based on the specific application scenario and needs. For example, for high-performance devices such as CPUs and GPUs, it is recommended to use thermal paste with metal-based fillers, but attention should be paid to the risk of conductivity; for ordinary consumer electronics such as laptops and game consoles, ceramic-based or carbon-based fillers can be used. Thermal paste has both thermal conductivity and electrical insulation; for industrial equipment and automotive electronics that operate for a long time or in extreme environments, it is recommended to use thermal paste with carbon-based fillers because it is more durable. As a highly efficient thermal interface material, thermal paste has become an indispensable material in the heat dissipation management of modern electronic equipment due to its excellent thermal conductivity and stability.
