SBR binder (styrene-butadiene rubber binder) for lithium-ion batteries is a binder commonly used in lithium-ion battery electrode materials. Its main function is to firmly bind electrode active materials (such as graphite and lithium cobalt oxide) together, ensure the structural integrity of the electrode materials during the battery charging and discharging process, and improve the battery's conductivity and mechanical stability.

The advantages of SBR binder are its good mechanical strength, flexibility and processability, which enable the battery to withstand volume changes without damage during charging and discharging. It can ensure that the electrode materials are evenly dispersed, thereby improving the overall electrochemical performance and cycle life of the battery. In addition, SBR also has low cost and good process adaptability, so it is widely used in large-scale lithium-ion battery production.
