Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) is a biologically active nucleotide that exists naturally in all forms of life. It is composed of nicotinamide (NAM) and ribose connected by a phosphate bond. In terms of physical and chemical properties, NMN is easily soluble in water, which enables it to dissolve quickly in the aqueous environment of the organism and participate in various biochemical reactions.
