Electric Heat Trace Cable, also known as electric heating cable, is a cable product used to provide heating and insulation functions for various types of pipelines, tanks, instruments and other equipment. Its working principle is to generate heat through the heating element inside the cable after the power is turned on, and transfer the heat to the heated object by heat conduction to maintain its temperature within the set range and prevent problems such as medium solidification and pipeline freezing and cracking caused by low temperature. Electric heating cable is usually composed of heating core wire, insulation layer, shielding layer and outer sheath. The heating core wire is the core component that generates heat, and common ones include resistance wire and PTC (positive temperature coefficient) materials; the insulation layer plays the role of isolating current and preventing leakage to ensure safe use; the shielding layer can effectively resist external electromagnetic interference, and can also play a certain mechanical protection role; the outer sheath is mainly used to protect the internal structure, enhance the weather resistance and corrosion resistance of the cable, and enable it to adapt to various harsh environmental conditions.
