Economy of United Kingdom 2025
Description
The UK was traditionally a fully industrialized country but since the 1970's has shed 5 million manufacturing jobs such that manufacturing is now below 10% of the workforce and the economy. On the surface there has been a large expansion in the services sector to balance the decline in manufacturing but having looked under the hood at the statistics we find that there are significant external imbalances in the UK data which are only a crisis away from precipitating a major downturn.
