Zirconium oxide solid electrolyte is a type of solid ion conductor material with zirconium oxide (ZrO₂) as the core component. It achieves efficient transmission of lithium ions/sodium ions through a unique crystal structure (such as garnet-type LLZO and perovskite-type LLTO). Compared with traditional liquid electrolytes, its core advantages include: high ion conductivity: by optimizing the lattice structure through doping (such as yttrium and lanthanum), the ion conductivity of LLZO electrolyte can reach 10⁻³ S/cm, comparable to liquid electrolytes; excellent stability: zirconium oxide's high temperature resistance (melting point 2715℃) and corrosion resistance enable the electrolyte to maintain structural stability at a high temperature of 500℃; safety performance: no risk of leakage, thermal runaway temperature is increased, and the probability of battery fire and explosion is significantly reduced; long cycle life: more than 5,000 cycles can be achieved in solid-state batteries, and the capacity retention rate exceeds 90%.
