Voltage Controlled Temperature Compensated Oscillator (Voltage Controlled Temperature Compensated Oscillator, referred to as VC-TCXO) is a crystal oscillator, which has the functions of temperature compensation and voltage controlled frequency (Voltage Controlled Frequency, referred to as VCF).
VC-TCXO can maintain a relatively stable output frequency within a certain temperature range by integrating a temperature compensation circuit and a voltage control circuit, and by changing the voltage at the input terminal of the voltage control, it can realize small adjustments to the output frequency. This voltage-controlled frequency characteristic makes VC-TCXOs widely used in some applications that require adjustable frequency, such as communication systems, wireless sensor networks, navigation systems, radar, etc.
The temperature compensation circuit of VC-TCXO usually uses temperature sensor and temperature compensation components (such as thermistor, thermistor, etc.) to realize the compensation for the change of oscillator frequency with temperature. This can help the VC-TCXO maintain a relatively stable output frequency under different temperature conditions, thereby improving system performance.
The voltage control circuit of the VC-TCXO usually uses components such as a voltage controlled capacitor (Voltage Controlled Capacitor, referred to as VCC) or a voltage controlled diode (Voltage Controlled Diode, referred to as VCD), and adjusts the frequency of the oscillator by changing the voltage at the input terminal.
