The principle of the strain type acceleration sensor: the mass block is fixed on one end of the cantilever beam, and the other end of the cantilever beam is fixed on the sensor base. The cantilever beam is filled with damping fluid such as silicone oil to generate the necessary damping force. The motion of the measured object causes the sensor to move, and its base transmits the motion to the mass through the cantilever beam. This inertial force acts on the cantilever beam to deform it, causing the resistance value of the strain gauge on it to change. Under the excitation of a constant power supply, the bridge composed of strain gauges will generate a voltage output signal proportional to the acceleration, which indicates the acceleration value.
Advantages: high precision, wide measurement range, simple structure, good frequency response characteristics, easy to realize miniaturization, integration and variety diversification, etc.
Disadvantages: For large strains, there is a large nonlinearity and the output signal is weak, and certain compensation measures need to be taken; the higher the measurement accuracy, the easier it is to damage.
