Global Soft Soldering Flux Market Growth 2025-2031
Description
The global Soft Soldering Flux market size is predicted to grow from US$ 780 million in 2025 to US$ 909 million in 2031; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 2.6% from 2025 to 2031.
Soft soldering flux is an auxiliary material used in the soft soldering process. It can be defined as a substance that is capable of removing oxide films and other impurities from the surface of base materials, improving the wettability of solder to the base materials, ensuring a good bond between the solder and the base materials, and protecting the surfaces of the base materials and the solder from oxidation during the soldering process. Soft soldering flux usually contains active agents, film-forming agents and additives. The active agents, such as zinc chloride and ammonium chloride, play a key role in removing oxide films. The film-forming agents, like rosin and resin, form a continuous protective film on the surfaces of the base materials and the solder to prevent reoxidation. The additives are used to improve certain properties of the flux, such as enhancing wettability and adjusting melting point.
