A single-ended input analog-to-digital converter is a common type of analog-to-digital converter used to convert a single-ended analog signal to a digital signal. It performs analog-to-digital conversion by comparing a single analog input signal with a reference voltage and converting the comparison result to a digital signal. A single-ended-input ADC typically consists of a comparator, a sample-and-hold circuit, a digital-to-analog converter (DAC), and a successive-approximation register (SAR). Among them, the comparator is used to compare the input signal with the reference voltage, the sample and hold circuit is used to sample and hold the input signal, the DAC is used to convert the gradually approaching digital signal into an analog signal, and the SAR is used to gradually approximate the analog input signal. The actual value, and finally the digital code is output as a representation of the digital signal.
