A Side Curtain Airbag System is a long, strip-shaped head protection airbag that extends along both sides of the roof from the A-pillar to the B/C-pillar. Triggered by side collision sensors and rollover sensors, it deploys within tens of milliseconds in the event of a side collision or one or more rollovers, forming an "airbag curtain" covering the front and rear side window areas.
