Global Radiofrequency Ablation Equipment and Consumables Market Growth (Status and Outlook) 2025-2031
Description
According to this study, the global Radiofrequency Ablation Equipment and Consumables market size will reach US$ 6223 million by 2031.
Radiofrequency ablation is to insert the ablation electrode into the tumor. Under the control of a computer, the radiofrequency ablation device transmits the radiofrequency pulse energy to the inside of the tumor through the ablation electrode needle, causing local high temperature in the tumor tissue, thereby promoting coagulation and necrosis of the tumor tissue and adjacent tissues that may be spread. The initial radiofrequency ablation device used a monopolar needle electrode, and no water cooling cycle was set inside. With the development of electrode manufacturing technology, water-cooled circulation electrodes replaced monopolar needle electrodes. The emergence of water-cooled circulation electrodes avoided the problem of easy carbonization of tissues around traditional electrodes, but the radiofrequency ablation range is still small. In order to expand the range of radiofrequency ablation, multi-level radiofrequency electrodes came into being. At this stage, conformal ablation electrodes with adjustable ablation diameter and variable ablation shape have appeared, which can perform "single target" ablation treatment on tumors of different sizes, avoiding the problem of missing tumor tissues in "multi-target" treatment, shortening the treatment time, and improving the work efficiency of doctors. Radiofrequency ablation devices and consumables, due to the high maturity of products, ordinary models have not been listed in the "innovative devices" of the State Food and Drug Administration in recent years.
