A four-quadrant triac is an electronic device, also known as a four-quadrant triac. It is similar to a three-quadrant triac (TRIAC) but has a wider range of applications. A four-quadrant triac can conduct in both the positive and negative half cycles and can be triggered at both forward and reverse voltages.
