The quad-ridged horn antenna is a special antenna that adds four symmetrically distributed ridge structures at the waveguide outlet based on the traditional horn antenna. These ridge structures can improve the radiation characteristics and bandwidth performance of the antenna, widen the working frequency band, and maintain good directivity and gain characteristics. The quad-ridged horn antenna can be regarded as two symmetrical double-ridged horns. Through the analysis of the ridge waveguide theory, according to the design parameter index requirements, the quad-ridged waveguide structure and the ridge curve form inside the horn that meet the requirements are designed to complete the antenna structure design. It has a wide working bandwidth and a simple feeding method. It generally uses coaxial feeding, and the beam width is adjustable. It can also be used as a dual-polarization antenna.
