The main evaluation index of silicon is purity. According to the purity, it will be divided into metallurgical grade polysilicon (MG-Si), solar grade polysilicon (SG-Si) and electronic grade polysilicon (EG-Si). Solar-grade polysilicon (SOG-Si) has a purity between metallurgical-grade silicon and electronic-grade silicon, generally between 99.9999% and 99.9999999% (6N-9N), and is mainly used in the production of solar cells.
