Global Pancreatin Powder Market Growth 2026-2032
Description
The global Pancreatin Powder market size is predicted to grow from US$ 112 million in 2025 to US$ 169 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5.9% from 2026 to 2032.
Pancreatin is a mixture of several digestive enzymes produced by the exocrine cells of the pancreas. Pancreatin is usually obtained from the pancreas of pigs or cows. The pancreas is an organ in animals and people that makes chemicals - amylase, lipase, and protease - that are needed for proper digestion. This mixture is used to treat conditions in which pancreatic secretions are deficient, such as surgical pancreatectomy, pancreatitis and cystic fibrosis. Pancreatin contains the pancreatic enzymes trypsin, amylase and lipase. A similar mixture of enzymes is sold as pancrelipase, which contains more active lipase enzyme than doe’s pancreatin. The trypsin found in pancreatin works to hydrolyze proteins into oligopeptides; amylase hydrolyzes starches into oligosaccharides and the disaccharide maltose; and lipase hydrolyzes triglycerides into fatty acids and glycerols. Pancreatin is an effective enzyme supplement for replacing missing pancreatic enzymes, and aids in the digestion of foods in cases of pancreatic insufficiency. Pancreatin reduces the absorption of iron from food in the duodenum during digestion. In 2025, global sales of Pancreatin Powderare estimated at 2,700 tons, with an average price of approximately US$41 per kilogram.
The pancreatin powder market is primarily driven by the rising prevalence of digestive disorders and global population aging. Increasing diagnosis and treatment of conditions such as chronic pancreatitis, cystic fibrosis, and post-pancreatectomy digestive insufficiency support steady demand for pharmaceutical-grade pancreatin products. In addition, growing awareness of digestive health and nutrient absorption is expanding the use of pancreatin in health-related and functional food applications. Demand from food processing and animal nutrition industries for efficient digestive enzymes, along with improvements in formulation technologies and quality standards, further underpins market growth.
Global key players of Pancreatin Powder include Nordmark, Sichuan Deebio, Shenzhen Hepalink and Terhormon, etc. The top four players hold a share over 55%. China is the largest market, has a share about 50%. In terms of product type, Porcine Pancreatin is the largest segment, occupied for a share of about 80%, and in terms of application, Pharma Industry has a share about 85 percent.
