Reusable phase change material (PCM) packs are functional products that use the thermal energy storage characteristics of phase change materials to achieve temperature control and can be recycled multiple times. The core is composed of a material with reversible phase change ability (such as paraffin, hydrated salts or fatty acids, etc.) and a polymer gel matrix, and is sealed with a weather-resistant packaging material (such as PE, TPU or aluminum-plastic composite film). The key difference between this type of product and a disposable phase change pack is that its phase change material has stable physical and chemical properties during the solid-liquid conversion process, and can still maintain the consistency of phase change temperature and thermal enthalpy after repeated endothermic-exothermic cycles. It absorbs or releases heat by triggering phase change through changes in external ambient temperature, thereby maintaining the temperature stability of the target space for a certain period of time. Its design usually takes into account flexibility, leakage resistance and durability, and can be widely used in cold chain transportation, medical temperature control, outdoor equipment and other scenarios. It can be used multiple times through repeated charging (such as refrigeration and heating). It is both functional and environmentally friendly, and is a sustainable solution to replace traditional disposable ice packs or insulation materials.
