The upstream supply chain includes organic cation precursors such as imidazole, pyridine, and quaternary ammonium salts, as well as anionic raw materials such as fluoroboric acid, trifluoromethanesulfonic acid, and metal halides (such as aluminum chloride).Global sales in 2025 were approximately 66,800 tons, with an average market price of approximately US$2,291 per ton.
