Global High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) Services Market Growth (Status and Outlook) 2025-2031
Description
According to this study, the global High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) Services market size will reach US$ 53165 million by 2031.
High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) Services refer to a series of manufacturing services that utilize the high pressure die casting process to produce metal components.
Process
- Mold Preparation: Lubricant is sprayed into the mold cavity to control the mold temperature and facilitate the demolding of the casting. Then, the mold is closed.
- Filling: Molten metal is poured into the injection chamber of the die - casting machine. Driven by a piston or plunger under the action of hydraulics or pressurized gas, the molten metal is forced into the closed mold cavity at high speed and pressure. The pressure range is approximately between 10 and 175 MPa.
- Solidification: After the molten metal fills the mold, the pressure is maintained until the casting solidifies.
- Ejection: The mold is opened, and the casting is ejected by the ejector pin. The residue separation is carried out, including the removal of the sprue, runner, gate, and flash.
Characteristics of HPDC-Produced Components
- High Dimensional Accuracy: The size accuracy of the casting is high, and the surface finish is good, generally equivalent to levels 5 - 8. It can meet the high-precision requirements of various components.
- Excellent Mechanical Properties: Components have relatively high strength and hardness, and some aluminum-alloy castings have tensile strengths nearly double those of ordinary casting alloys.
- Complex Shape Capability: It can produce components with complex geometries in a single piece, reducing the need for subsequent assembly processes.
