A differential analog-to-digital converter is a common analog-to-digital converter, usually used to convert analog signals into digital signals, such as sampling and processing of audio signals. A differential analog-to-digital converter achieves high-precision analog-to-digital conversion by creating a feedback loop between analog and digital signals. The differential ADC calculates the error signal by comparing the current value of the analog signal with the previous quantizer output, and feeds the error signal into the integrator. The signal output by the integrator is called a "delta" and represents the amount of change in the analog signal. The incremental signal is then quantized into a digital signal and sent to a digital filter for processing to improve accuracy and suppress noise. The output signal of the digital filter is fed back to the integrator and compared with the analog signal, thus forming a feedback loop. The advantage of the differential analog-to-digital converter is that it can realize high-precision, high-speed analog-to-digital conversion, and has lower power consumption. The disadvantage is that complex circuit design and adjustment are required, and it is sensitive to noise and nonlinear characteristics.
