Intracranial aneurysm is a common cerebrovascular disease in neurosurgery, often called an intracranial "time bomb". It refers to the weak part of the intracranial arterial wall. Under the action of blood flow and blood pressure, it bulges out abnormally, and looks a bit like a tumor, so it is called an aneurysm. Intracranial aneurysm is not a real tumor, but once it ruptures, the condition is critical, such as severe headache, nausea and vomiting, convulsions and impaired consciousness, and even death. The treatment of intracranial aneurysms mainly includes craniotomy clipping and interventional embolization. Interventional embolization is to enter the aneurysm through the blood vessel (femoral artery), use materials to fill the aneurysm, prevent blood flow from entering the brain aneurysm, and thus separate the aneurysm from the blood flow. Interventional surgery is a minimally invasive surgery with little trauma, fast recovery and good effect. The most commonly used material for interventional embolization of intracranial aneurysms is a spring coil, which is a platinum-made metal wire with a soft texture. In the embolization operation, a microcatheter is inserted into the aneurysm cavity, and then a push rod is used to push the spring coil into the aneurysm cavity through the microcatheter.
