The continuous conduction mode power factor correction controller (CCM-PFC) is a core device used to improve the efficiency of AC-DC power conversion. It controls the on-time of the power switch tube of the boost converter at a fixed switching frequency to keep the input current waveform in phase with the input voltage, thereby achieving efficient energy conversion with a power factor (PF) close to unity and low total harmonic distortion (THD). Its core features include dual-loop control (the voltage loop stabilizes the output voltage, and the current loop tracks the input voltage waveform in real time), fixed frequency (such as 65kHz/133kHz/200kHz) to optimize electromagnetic interference (EMI), and integrated multiple protection functions (such as overvoltage, overcurrent, undervoltage, open circuit detection, etc.). It is widely used in industrial power supplies, servers, communication equipment, new energy vehicle chargers and renewable energy systems. Especially in high-power scenarios (such as 300W-3000W), it has become a mainstream solution due to its advantages such as good current continuity, low switching loss and fast dynamic response. It also supports dual-phase interleaved design (such as UCC28070 and HP1011 series) to further reduce ripple and improve light-load efficiency, and optimizes system performance and reliability through intelligent current sharing and phase cutting functions.
