Automotive LFT-PA refers to a reinforced thermoplastic composite material in which continuous glass fiber rovings are fully impregnated with PA6/PA66 melt during pultrusion or online compounding, and the fiber length remains 5–25 mm after pelletizing. Due to its high fiber aspect ratio, injection-molded parts maintain high rigidity, creep resistance, and excellent impact toughness at 80–150 °C, and are widely used in load-bearing structures requiring "plastic-to-steel" replacement, such as front-end module frames, battery brackets, and door panel anti-collision beams.

On the raw material side, PA matrix accounts for 55-65% of the formulation mass and 60-70% of the cost; its monomer price fluctuates with the phenylene-adipic acid chain. Continuous alkali-free glass fiber accounts for 30-40% and 20-25% of the cost; it is made by melting and drawing minerals such as quartz sand and limestone, then coating them with coupling agents. This process is energy-intensive and sensitive to natural gas prices. The remaining approximately 5% consists of compatibilizers, heat stabilizers, and nucleating agents. Raw materials together account for 75-80% of the ex-factory price, making the polyamide resin market the primary driver of cost fluctuations.
