Downstream, it is used as electrostatic/EMI shielding and grounding layers in electrical apparatus—commonly in transformer shielding structures (between windings or as shield rings with an insulating outer wrap), as well as in reactors/inductors. It is also relevant to shielded cable constructions where metallized screens/screen papers are present, and to cable wrapping/foil shielding solutions used for noise reduction, grounding, and static charge draining.
