An aluminium anode is a type of sacrificial anode made from aluminium or aluminium-based alloys, primarily used in cathodic protection systems to prevent corrosion of metal structures submerged in seawater or buried in soil. The anode gradually dissolves during operation and is eventually replaced, making it a key component in sacrificial cathodic protection systems used across industries such as maritime, oil and gas, power plants, and water treatment.
