The 1.5T Helium-Free Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) System is an advanced medical imaging diagnostic device with a main magnetic field strength of 1.5 Tesla (T). This system breaks away from the traditional design of relying on liquid helium for cooling superconducting magnets in MRI equipment. Instead, it adopts innovative cooling technologies and new superconducting materials, enabling the superconducting magnets to operate stably without the need for liquid helium. In terms of imaging principles, it still operates based on the phenomenon of nuclear magnetic resonance. By applying specific frequency radiofrequency pulses to the human body, it excites hydrogen nuclei within the body to generate magnetic resonance signals. Then, it uses gradient magnetic fields to spatially encode these signals, and finally, the signals are received by receiving coils. After complex computational algorithms by a computer, the signals are transformed into clear and detailed images of the internal structures of the human body. This helium-free design not only eliminates the risks associated with liquid helium leakage, high costs of helium replenishment, and complex helium management issues but also offers advantages such as easy installation, low maintenance costs, and relatively relaxed requirements for installation sites. It provides a safer, more efficient, and cost-effective MRI solution for medical institutions, and is widely used in clinical disease diagnosis, treatment monitoring, and medical research.
